VAT or NIF Number and Billing Address on Your Invoices
Your subscription invoices are issued by our payment provider, Stripe or Paddle, using the details they hold for you. If you need a tax number (VAT, NIF, CIF, Partita IVA or similar) or a different billing address on them, this page explains how.
Adding a tax number or changing the billing address #
Send us the details and we add them to your record at the payment provider for you:
- Log in to enCAST.
- Go to the contact form, or reply in your enCAST inbox if you already have a conversation with us.
- Give us:
- the email address of your enCAST account;
- the tax number to show, exactly as it should appear;
- the name and full billing address to show, if they are changing;
- the date, amount and plan of your most recent payment, so we find the right record first time.
We normally do this by the next working day and confirm in the same conversation.
When the new details appear #
The new details are printed on every invoice issued after we make the change, starting with your next renewal. For example, if we add your NIF in October and your subscription renews on 11 January, the January invoice is the first one to show it.
Invoices that have already been issued #
An invoice that has already been issued and paid cannot be changed or reissued. It is created by the payment provider at the moment of payment, and neither we nor they can alter it afterwards.
If you need a compliant record for a payment you have already made, keep the original invoice together with your payment record (bank or card statement). Together they show what was paid, when, and to whom.
Where to find your invoices #
Read more here: How to Get an Invoice.
Reclaiming VAT #
If you are VAT-registered in the EU, the invoice may be issued under the reverse-charge rule once your VAT number is on file. Read more here: Claiming VAT Reverse Charge on Your Subscription.
