enCAST Social Media Posts About You
enCAST sometimes posts about actors on its own social media accounts. This page explains when that happens, what a post shows, how you stay in control, and how to have a post removed.
Where we post #
We post on enCAST's accounts on X, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky and Threads. If you have added your Instagram, Facebook, X or Bluesky handle to your profile, we tag you so people can click straight through to you.
What a post shows #
- Your main profile photo
- Your name and the country you are based in
- Your mini bio
- A link to your enCAST profile
A birthday post wishes you a happy birthday. It never shows your age or your date of birth.
When we post about you #
We only ever post about actors. There are four occasions:
- You boost your own profile from the Boost page
- You join Pro
- Your profile is verified
- Your birthday, if you are a Pro member
We only post if your profile is active, is visible to everyone, and has a photo and a mini bio. If any of these is missing, nothing is posted.
We ask you first #
On Edit Profile, in the Extra Info tab, there is a box called Post my profile to enCAST's social channels automatically. It is unticked unless you tick it.
If the box is unticked, we email you before anything goes out. The email shows you the exact post and gives you two choices:
- Confirm this time only: we post this once, and ask you again next time.
- Confirm for ever: we post this, and tick the box for you so we do not need to ask again.
If you do not click, nothing is posted. The request runs out after 7 days, or after 3 days for a birthday post. The next time there is an occasion to post about you, we ask again.
If the box is ticked, we post without asking.
When you boost your own profile from the Boost page, the post always goes out straight away, because you pressed the button yourself.
If a talent agent linked to your profile changes this setting, we email you to tell you.
Having a post removed #
If you want a post taken down, send us a message with:
- Your name as it appears on your enCAST profile
- The link to the post, if you have it
- If you do not have the link, which channel it was on and roughly when it went out
We will remove it from enCAST's accounts. Removing a post does not affect your enCAST profile in any way.
We can only remove posts from our own accounts. We cannot remove reshares or screenshots made by other people.
To stop future posts that do not need your confirmation, untick the box in the Extra Info tab. You will still get an email asking first, and you can simply ignore it.
