A young American woman relocates to Bucharest with her Romanian husband and begins to suspect that a man she keeps glimpsing in the apartment building opposite is stalking her. As a serial killer terrorises the city, her growing sense of dread is dismissed by those around her, leaving her increasingly isolated and uncertain of her own instincts.
