A group of students at Brakebills, a secret college for magic, continue adjusting to their new lives whilst navigating the dangers posed by a mysterious and malevolent entity known as the Beast. Quentin and his fellow students begin exploring their individual magical abilities, with some struggling more than others to master the discipline required.
