A young woman living in a rural Czech setting begins to exhibit increasingly erratic and violent behaviour after being bitten by an animal, blurring the line between illness and something more primal. Those around her struggle to contain and understand her deteriorating condition as her transformation deepens. The film unfolds as a tense, intimate portrait of contagion and loss of control within a close-knit community.
