A Chinese Imperial Guard travels to London alongside his wisecracking American companion to investigate his father's murder and recover a stolen jade seal. The pair become entangled in a conspiracy involving a villainous English aristocrat with ambitions to seize the British throne. Along the way they encounter several famous historical figures and engage in a series of elaborately choreographed fight sequences blending martial arts with slapstick comedy.
