Ashbal, les lionceaux du califat
(2017)
A French documentary that follows young children recruited and indoctrinated by the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, examining how the group systematically trained these boys — referred to as "cubs of the caliphate" — as its next generation of fighters. The film traces the experiences of several of these children, exploring the psychological and physical conditioning they underwent, and considers what becomes of them as the so-called caliphate begins to collapse.
