Marlene

A documentary portrait of Marlene Dietrich told largely through the actress's own voice, as she reflects on her extraordinary life, career, and the carefully constructed myth she built around herself. Drawing on rare archival footage and recordings, the film explores her rise to international stardom, her complex personal relationships, and her fierce resistance to being defined by others. Rather than a conventional biography, it presents Dietrich as both subject and narrator of her own legend.
