A young man from Glasgow, facing the prospect of prison, is given a chance at community service where he discovers an unexpected passion for whisky. Guided by his supervisor, he learns about the craft and culture of Scotch, and spots an opportunity involving a rare cask that could change his family's fortunes. What follows is a gentle caper as he and his fellow community service workers hatch a plan to secure their futures without entirely abandoning their principles.
