Palmeras en la Nieve (Palm Trees in the Snow)

A young Spanish woman discovers a bundle of old letters that leads her to uncover her family's hidden past in Equatorial Guinea during the colonial era. She travels to the African island where her father and uncle once worked on a cocoa plantation, piecing together a secret interracial love story that spanned decades. The film moves between the present day and the mid-twentieth century, contrasting two very different worlds as the truth about her family's origins gradually comes to light.
