(2016)
A marine biologist retrieves a mysterious egg from the ocean depths during a deep-sea research dive, and after suffering a traumatic incident during the mission, she returns home to recover. Keeping the egg hidden in a tank in her basement, she becomes increasingly obsessed with nurturing the tentacled creature that hatches from it, going to disturbing lengths to feed and protect it. As the entity grows and her fixation deepens, her behaviour becomes violent and erratic, threatening her relationships and her sanity.
