A young woman suffering from a rare sleep disorder — causing her to spend almost all her time unconscious — is discovered by a man who becomes obsessed with her and takes her home to care for her. Nearby, a hypnotic serial killer held in the same facility uses his psychic influence to invade her dreams and manipulate events from behind bars. As the sleeping woman's dream world grows increasingly dark and violent, those around her must find a way to free her mind before the killer's hold becomes permanent.
