A female alien escapes from a crashed spacecraft along with a deadly parasitic creature that begins killing people in a large American city. A determined police detective teams up with the extraterrestrial woman, who possesses advanced knowledge of the predatory organism, to hunt it down before it claims more victims. Their unlikely partnership develops a romantic dimension as they work together to stop the creature and prevent it from spreading further.
