Tchaikovsky's Wife

A dramatisation of the marriage between composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Antonina Miliukova, told entirely from Antonina's perspective. After becoming obsessively infatuated with the famous musician and pursuing him relentlessly, she finds herself trapped in a cold and loveless union that he seeks to escape almost immediately. The film charts her gradual psychological unravelling as she is marginalised, abandoned, and ultimately forgotten, left to deteriorate on the fringes of Russian society.
