House of Cards
(2014)
Francis Underwood, now serving as Vice President of the United States, manoeuvres ruthlessly to seize the presidency itself, engineering the downfall of those who stand in his way. Meanwhile, his wife Claire pursues her own political ambitions, and investigative journalist Zoe Barnes continues to dig into Frank's corrupt past — a pursuit that proves fatally dangerous. Season two raises the stakes considerably as Frank consolidates power whilst managing threats from a billionaire political donor, a troubled congressman, and his own calculating nature.
