A queer psychological drama short film, 6–8 minutes in runtime, set in the Rotterdam area (NL).
The film director is Kamile Galinyte, a 3rd year student in the Audiovisual Design department in WdKA.
Logline: The film follows two women whose decades-long relationship has dissolved into obsessive co-dependence, tenderness, and mutual destruction — a relationship where love and cruelty coexist so tightly that neither can tell where one ends and the other begins.
Filming will take place in The Netherlands, exact shooting dates are not set yet, but it'll probably be at the end of November.
Actors should be ideally based in The Netherlands, actors based in neighbouring countries (Belgium, Germany, etc.) are also welcome to apply.
This is a student production - roles are unpaid but expenses are covered.

About the role: Agatha is a composed, seemingly unbothered woman in her 40s who works as a tailor. She is quiet and measured, with a subtle but unmistakable sense of control. Unlike the other character, she rarely lashes out with words — her cruelty is more calculated and physical, expressed through small gestures and deliberate actions.
She loves Pauline deeply, almost painfully, but takes comfort in knowing that Pauline never gets very far when she tries to leave. Her tenderness can feel comforting and suffocating at the same time. She carries herself like someone who has lived through the same argument countless times and already knows how it will end.
Her look is more dishevelled and darker, with minimal jewellery.
We are looking for an actor who can convey emotional complexity through stillness, physical presence, small gestures, and subtle shifts in expression. An actor comfortable with portraying a queer character is a must. The role calls for a naturalistic performance with a convincing sense of shared history with another character. Acting experience is preferable, but willingness is more important.

About the role: Pauline is restless, contradictory woman in her 40s. A former dancer, currently working night shifts as a caregiver. She moves with a lingering elegance, even when she is emotionally unsettled.
Pauline is sharp-tongued and reactive. She resents how much she needs Agatha, hates how much space Agatha takes up inside her, but she also cannot imagine surviving without her.
Her look is dreamy and relaxed, with pinned-back hair and distinctive accessories that reflect her inner self.
We are looking for an actor who can convey emotional contradictions through small gestures, physical presence and shifts in emotional expressions. An actor comfortable with portraying a queer character is a must! The role calls for a naturalistic performance with a convincing sense of shared history with another character. Acting experience is preferable, but willingness is more important.
