A young German woman sets off on a road trip to Portugal in a vintage Volkswagen 303 campervan, hoping to track down her estranged father. She reluctantly picks up a male hitchhiker heading to Spain, and the two strangers gradually open up to each other over the long journey, debating politics, relationships, and the meaning of life. What begins as an uneasy arrangement slowly develops into a deep and complicated connection between them.
