Inglourious Basterds

Set in Nazi-occupied France during the Second World War, the film follows two intersecting plots to assassinate Hitler and the Nazi high command. A Jewish-American military unit led by Lieutenant Aldo Raine specialises in brutally killing and scalping German soldiers behind enemy lines, while a young Jewish woman named Shosanna, who survived the massacre of her family, schemes to burn down her own cinema during a major Nazi film premiere. The two plans converge on the same night, culminating in a fiery and revisionist reworking of history.
