Busted! Animal Smugglers

A documentary series following the work of border control officers and wildlife investigators as they intercept illegal shipments of exotic animals and animal products being trafficked across international borders. The programme examines the methods used by smugglers to conceal live creatures and contraband wildlife goods, whilst showing the painstaking efforts of authorities to detect and prosecute those responsible. Cases range from rare reptiles and birds hidden in luggage to large-scale commercial operations trading in endangered species.
