Getting an erection during intimate scenes happens and isn't something to be embarrassed about.

Some actors wear extra tight underwear to keep things controlled, though others say this can be uncomfortable if arousal occurs. Some suggest a “tactical moment” beforehand to reduce the likelihood.

But honestly, if you get an erection, so what? It means you're having a natural reaction to the scene. No one worries if an actor cries during an emotional scene, after all.

But, of course, be extra respectful of your partner if this happens.

If your male scene partner becomes aroused, just accept it as normal. As professional actors, you carry on with the scene as planned within your agreed boundaries.

Bodies do what bodies do. Everyone on set understands this. It's much better to acknowledge it naturally than try to hide it awkwardly.
