An elderly gay couple, Freddie and Stuart, have lived together in their London flat for decades and spend most of their time bickering affectionately and entertaining their small circle of ageing friends. Their comfortable routine is disrupted by the arrival of a young new neighbour, Ash, who becomes a regular fixture in their lives. Beneath the constant sniping and sharp wit, the pair's deep devotion to one another gradually becomes apparent.
