A Renaissance Italian crime drama following the corrupt and ruthless Borgia family as they seize control of the Catholic Church when Rodrigo Borgia manoeuvres himself onto the papal throne. His son Cesare operates as the family's enforcer and political schemer, whilst his daughter Lucrezia navigates a world of arranged marriages and court intrigue. The series charts the family's increasingly brutal efforts to maintain their grip on power through bribery, poison and political manipulation across Renaissance Italy.
