A group of socially awkward Italian men travel to Oxford with the aim of meeting and wooing intelligent women. Their misadventures abroad form the basis of the comedy, as their naïve schemes repeatedly go awry. The film blends broad humour with affectionate mockery of Italian male stereotypes.
