An untested American submarine commander discovers a Russian coup attempt while on a covert mission beneath Arctic waters. He must coordinate with a small Special Forces team operating inside Russia to rescue the deposed Russian president and prevent a conflict that could trigger world war. Forging an uneasy alliance with a captured Russian submarine captain, the two men navigate treacherous political and military obstacles to avert global catastrophe.
