A young Muslim woman living in Italy falls for an Italian man, and the couple must navigate the tensions between his secular Western lifestyle and her devout faith. Their relationship is further complicated by the expectations of her conservative family and the judgements of the community around them. The film explores questions of identity, belonging, and the possibility of reconciling two very different worlds.
