A young Israeli soldier goes absent without leave and hides in a remote area, where he unexpectedly encounters an elderly Holocaust survivor living in isolation. The two form an unlikely bond as the old man shares his harrowing past, forcing the soldier to confront questions of duty, memory, and moral responsibility.
