Nurse Jackie

A sharp but deeply flawed emergency room nurse in New York City manages to hold her professional life together through remarkable competence and quick thinking, whilst concealing a serious addiction to prescription painkillers. She juggles an increasingly complicated web of lies involving her husband, her colleagues, and a secret affair with the hospital pharmacist who supplies her habit. The series follows her gradual unravelling as the people around her begin to see through the carefully maintained facade.
