A young Norwegian boy named Morten discovers an injured baby walrus and forms an unlikely friendship with the creature, nursing it back to health. As the bond between them grows, Morten must eventually confront the painful reality that his wild companion belongs in the sea rather than by his side. The film follows his emotional journey of love, responsibility, and letting go.
