A middle-aged Swedish man's quiet domestic life is thrown into chaos when a series of comic misunderstandings spiral out of control, placing him in increasingly awkward situations with family, colleagues and neighbours. His desperate attempts to conceal the truth only deepen the mess, leading to a farcical unravelling of the carefully maintained façade he has constructed around himself.
