A faded Irish actor convinces his young colleague to help him run an elaborate con on a local gangster by impersonating different characters for financial gain. As the scheme grows increasingly complicated, mistaken identities and comic misunderstandings spiral out of control, drawing in an assortment of eccentric Dublin characters. The pair find themselves in ever deeper trouble as the deception begins to unravel.
