A team of American television journalists working for ABC Sports find themselves unexpectedly thrust into covering a major news crisis when Palestinian militants take Israeli athletes hostage at the 1972 Munich Olympics. With limited resources and the pressure of live broadcasting, the crew must make rapid editorial and ethical decisions as the tragedy unfolds in real time. The film examines the tension between the demands of rolling news coverage and the human cost of the events being broadcast to millions of viewers worldwide.
