A woman with a successful radio show, known for giving romantic advice, discovers she has somehow ended up legally married to a stranger — a New York firefighter — despite having no memory of the wedding. Determined to get the marriage annulled before she weds her respectable fiancé, she tracks down the man responsible, only to find herself unexpectedly drawn to him. The complications that follow force her to question whether the life she has carefully planned is truly what she wants.
