A Norwegian family is drawn back together when a celebrated theatre director attempts to stage a production based on his estranged daughters' troubled childhood memories. The project forces old wounds and long-suppressed grievances to the surface, compelling the siblings to confront their complicated feelings about their absent father and the stories he has chosen to tell.
