A widowed paediatrician named Pietro relocates to the island of Sardinia, where he builds a quiet new life by the sea. His peaceful existence is disrupted when a series of mysterious crimes draws him into investigations that intertwine with the lives of the local community. Alongside a determined police inspector, he finds himself repeatedly entangled in matters of justice, family secrets, and human frailty on the island.
