A Bavarian police detective investigates a murder case that unfolds around the local harvest festival, drawing him into the close-knit and sometimes treacherous social world of his community. Kluftinger must balance the pressures of the investigation with the comic frustrations of his everyday domestic and professional life. The case forces him to confront uncomfortable truths about people he thought he knew well.
