Saint Margaret of Castello

A devout medieval woman born with severe physical disabilities is abandoned by her wealthy parents after a failed pilgrimage to seek a miraculous cure, only to find refuge among the poor and marginalised communities of Castello. Despite her hardships, Margaret dedicates her life to prayer, charitable works, and caring for the vulnerable, eventually gaining a reputation for holiness. Her story explores themes of faith, rejection, and the transformative power of compassion.
