Houston, We Have a Problem!

A Slovenian documentary that presents the provocative fictional premise that Yugoslavia secretly sold its entire space programme to the United States in the 1960s, thereby funding the Apollo missions. Blending archival footage, fabricated documents, and mock interviews, the film constructs an elaborate and deadpan hoax narrative that critiques Cold War mythology and the politics of historical memory. The work deliberately blurs the boundary between documentary fact and satirical invention, inviting audiences to question how national and geopolitical histories are constructed and remembered.
