Rebus

A Scottish detective series following the gruff, unconventional Edinburgh police inspector John Rebus, who investigates serious crimes across the city whilst battling his own personal demons, including alcohol dependency and a troubled personal life. Based on Ian Rankin's novels, the show portrays Rebus operating on the fringes of acceptable police procedure, often clashing with superiors and colleagues as he pursues justice through instinct and stubbornness.
