A young gang member in Washington D.C. tries to protect his younger brother from being drawn into the violent street life that has defined his own existence. When a newly returned Afghan war veteran becomes entangled in their situation, the two form an unlikely alliance against the ruthless cartel controlling the neighbourhood. The film follows their desperate bid to break free from a cycle of crime and bloodshed.
