The Law According to Lidia Poët

A fictionalised account of Italy's first female lawyer, Lidia Poët, who in the late nineteenth century is disbarred from practising law on account of her sex and sets about fighting to reclaim her place in the legal profession. Working alongside her journalist brother, she takes on criminal cases unofficially, applying sharp intelligence and an unorthodox approach to help the wrongly accused. The series blends period drama with mystery elements as Lidia challenges the rigid conventions of her era while pursuing both justice and personal independence.
