Silver Skates

A young messenger boy living in 19th-century St Petersburg falls for a girl from a wealthy family whilst competing in an ice-skating race across the frozen canals of the city. Their different social standings threaten to keep them apart, but the pair are drawn together through their shared love of skating and a series of daring adventures. Set against a visually lavish backdrop of imperial Russia, the story weaves romance and social inequality into a fairy-tale-like winter spectacle.
