Spinning Boris

Three American political consultants are secretly hired to help Boris Yeltsin mount a seemingly impossible comeback campaign ahead of the 1996 Russian presidential election. Working under clandestine conditions in Moscow, they clash with local advisers and navigate the chaos of post-Soviet politics to modernise Yeltsin's image and grassroots outreach. The film follows their fish-out-of-water escapades as they attempt to apply slick American campaign tactics to a country wholly unfamiliar with Western-style electioneering.
