Tulip Fever

Set in 17th-century Amsterdam during the height of tulip mania, the film follows a young married woman who embarks on a passionate affair with the artist commissioned to paint her portrait. The two lovers hatch a scheme involving the volatile tulip market in hopes of raising enough money to escape together and start a new life. Their plan grows increasingly complicated as deception and mistaken identity threaten to unravel everything.
