An American daytime soap opera set in the fictional Midwestern town of Salem, following the intertwining lives, romances, feuds and secrets of several prominent families — most notably the Bradys, the Hortons and the DiMeras. The show is known for its melodramatic storylines involving kidnappings, returns from the dead, possession and complex love triangles that play out over years or even decades. Each episode opens with the iconic narration reminding viewers that "like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives."
