Life in a Day 2020
(2021)
On a single day in July 2020, tens of thousands of people across the globe submitted footage of their daily lives to create a crowd-sourced documentary portrait of humanity during an extraordinary moment in history. The resulting film weaves together clips from contributors of vastly different backgrounds, cultures, and circumstances, capturing everything from mundane domestic routines to profound personal milestones. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the footage reflects a world simultaneously isolated and interconnected, with themes of grief, resilience, joy, and adaptation running throughout.
