Neptune Frost

An intersex runaway named Neptune escapes from a mining camp in Rwanda and falls in love with a coltan miner named Matalusa, and together they become the centre of a collective of hackers challenging corporate and governmental oppression. The film blends Afrofuturist imagery with musical performance and poetic dialogue to construct a radical vision of resistance rooted in both African tradition and digital rebellion. Their union generates a disruptive energy that sparks uprisings across the region, threatening the systems that exploit the land and its people.
