La Zona

A wealthy gated community in Spain maintains its own brutal system of self-governance, operating entirely outside the rule of law. When a young outsider becomes trapped within the compound's walls after a robbery goes wrong, a veteran police detective attempts to intervene despite the residents' determination to handle matters themselves. The series examines the violent extremes to which privileged communities will go to protect their way of life, and the moral corruption that festers beneath a veneer of respectability.
