Carmen Gloria Pérez was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, now a veteran, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University. She was born in The Bronx, New York and moved to Puerto Rico at the age of ten.

She is a an award-winning actress, currently on Netflix\'s original series \"Young Royals,\" with over 60 credits, writer, artist, (experimental) film writer/director/editor. Carmen won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama by the Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Achievement (ADA) Awards in 2003 for the Layon Gray play “Soldiers Don’t Cry.” Carmen has successfully written, produced and edited numerous short films, music videos, has written chart-topping & nominated music, and a series of children’s books.
