Mabel Thomas

Hi! My name is Mabel, a writer and actor with bases in the US (Atlanta) and the UK (London).

Most recently, I recorded the titular role of 'Amaryllis' for the audio drama Amaryllis from Acorn Arts and Entertainment. Amaryllis will be available on podcast platforms early winter 2026! I play the young version of Jamie Lee Curtis in the Amazon Prime/Blumhouse TV show Scarpetta and have a role as an Australian wildlife host in the upcoming Will Ferrell/Amazon Studios feature Judgement Day.

Last summer, I shot the lead role of Memphis in the feature Dead Dad Girl, produced by Samsa Film (Luxembourg), Wrong Man (Belgium) and John Altschuler/Dave Krinsky (USA) writers of Blades of Glory and Silicon Valley.

Over the past three years, I've played leading roles in eight feature films, including Dead Dad Girl, Once Upon a Time in a Horror Movie, Peeping Todd: The Musical, Nobody Wants to Be Here, Nobody Wants to Leave, Popeye the Slayer Man, Snake Manor, American Cryptids, and Lyrebird. Recent festival selections include Austin Film Festival, FilmQuest, Cleveland International Film Festival, Midwest WeirdFest, Popcorn Frights, and Screamfest.

As a writer-performer, my solo show SUGAR debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022, earning Pick of the Fringe and Editor's Choice honors before transferring to London's Old Red Lion Theatre in 2023.

Onscreen I've been decapitated, my throat was slit, my face was eaten by a giant snake, I've been gagged with a mozzarella ball, a demonic jack-in-the-box bit my eye out, aliens stole my liver, I've been shot, and my eyes were gouged out by the thumbs of an escaped serial killer. (Acting is a violent business.)

Off-screen, I'm an avid sci-fi/fantasy reader, cat lover, bread-eating enthusiast, and dedicated hater of monoculture lawns. Just let those native plants grow, baby.
