About Me

Preston Carbonaro is a Maltese-Canadian actor based in Malta.

He has worked in local and international films, television, and commercials for over 13 years. His recent credits include lead roles in the short films "Half Step Down" and "Death and a Dummy", earning him a Best Actor nomination for both films in 2026. He also starred in the Maltese TV docuseries "Il-Barokk" (2023), appeared in "Rolling" Season 2 (2024), and featured in productions including "Day of the Pay" (2024), "Friefet" (2024), "Manwela" (2018), and "The Promise" (2015).

Preston has also taken part in numerous theatrical productions over the years, including: "Il-Każin tal-Imqarbin" (2025), "The Fourth Wall" (MADC One Act Play; 2025), "Tarah Wiċċ Alla" (2024), the titular role of Dalma in "Dalma" (2022), and the role of Billy Gray in "The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?" (2019).

He considers himself a semi-method actor, using Stanislavski- and Meisner-based techniques to tap into authentic emotions to make scenes feel real; opting for a "deep acting" approach.
